Our Story

In March 2020, the Colorado COVID-19 Modeling Group was established to assist Colorado state and local officials in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, the group received funding from the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) to build modeling tools and data visualizations for the Rocky Mountain West, resulting in the creation of the Rocky Mountain COVID Data project. Over the past year, we have interviewed public health officials across the Rocky Mountain West to assess needs and build out these resources to serve those needs. We describe this work in a pre-print here. We continue to work to support public health leaders in the region in reducing the impacts of COVID-19.
